ACC in association with CAIT conducts seminar on GST

Assam Chamber of Commerce in association with Confederation of all India Traders (CAIT) had conducted a 1 day seminar on GST at Hotel Gateway Grandeur, G.S. Road, Guwahati on 23rd of February 2017. The main purpose of the seminar was to apprise the trader community about the soon to be implemented GST.

Government of India has taken a very bold step in crubbing the 17 indirect tax and making 1 tax in the form of GST. With GST coming into force the harassment of trader community to maintain separate books of Accounts for all the 17 indirect taxes will be gone. With GST coming into force it will boost the economy to a great extent.

Mr. B.C.Bharatia honorable president and Mr, Praveen Khandelwal honorable General Secretary of CAIT had briefly apprised the delegates about the fine points of GST. Honurable I.T. Minister of Government of Assam Mr. Keshab Mahanta has also spoken to the delegation. In his welcome speech Chairman of Assam Chamber of Commerce Mr. Rupam Goswami has appraised the benefits of GST to the delegates.

Honurable member of assembly, Assam legislative assembly Mr.Narayan Deka and Mr.Rupak Sharma was also present in the seminar and they had also spoke briefly to the delegation about the benefits of GST as a whole.
