Assam will project it’s tourism potential in the Global Investment Summit to be organised here on February 3 and 4, for investment.
The state tourism department officials said tourism will be one of its major focus areas for investment as it plans to attract tourists from South East Asian countries due to its geographical locations.
“Since the state tourism policy 2017 was formulated recently, talks about involving private players for tourism promotion will be held. We will also highlight our tourism potential and areas where private tour companies can join hands and invest. We are looking for private players to operate and manage the existing infrastructure manned by Assam Tourism Development Corporation, development of river cruise, on-shore infrastructure on the Brahmaputra, golf course-cum-resort and convention center,” said the source.Read more
